There are as many types of psychotherapy as there are therapists. Finding a therapist that 'fits' for you is important. So important, in fact, that research has confirmed what therapists have intuitively known; that the therapeutic relationship itself is essential and the most important factor in achieving positive outcomes and change in the lives of clients.
Engaging through talk therapy, I hold space for what my clients bring to sessions. Trained in many modalities, my approach is varied and unique depending on the needs of the client.
Benefits of Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is a process of self-exploration in which to better understand yourself, your patterns, and your inner world. With this greater understanding, healing, integration, and connection to Self, you are better able to navigate your outer world and enjoy life more.
• Connect with your authentic Self • Increase confidence and self-worth • Build a toolbox of self-care, stress management, conflict resolution and life skills • Heal underlying causes of issues • Enhance emotional agility • Build a strong inner foundation for inner safety and resourcing • Create boundaries for healthy and more satisfying relationships • Reduce stress, anxiety, overwhelm, depression, and other symptoms of distress • Strengthen mind-body-soul connection • Increase creativity and aliveness
Words for when you're in transition ...
"Some periods of our growth are so confusing that we don't even recognize that growth is happening. We may feel hostile or angry or weepy and hysterical, or we may feel depressed. It would never occur to us, unless we stumbled on a book or a person who explained to us, that we are in fact in the process of change, or actually becoming larger, spiritually, than we were before.
Whenever we grow, we tend to feel it, as a young seed must feel the weight and inertia of the earth as it seeks to break out of its shell on its way to becoming a plant. Often the feeling is anything but pleasant. But what is most unpleasant is the not knowing what is happening.
Those long periods when something inside ourselves seems to be waiting, holding its breath, unsure about what the next step should be, eventually become the periods we wait for, for it is in those periods that we realize we are being prepared for the next phase of our life and that, in all probability, a new level of the personality is about to be revealed."

I want to believe that I am looking into the white fire of a great mystery. I want to believe that the imperfections are nothing - that the light is everything - that it is more than the sum of each flawed blossom rising and falling..
