Psychotherapy Professional Fees and Session Length
Individual Psychotherapy 50 minutes - $125 + HST
Couples Counselling 50 minutes - $150 + HST
Payments, Receipts and Insurance
Payment is due at each session and a PDF Receipt of Professional Services for the month’s paid session(s) will be emailed after the end of each month.
Some health care insurance providers will reimburse the fee and, if not, you can claim them as a medical expense when you file for taxes. To check whether or not your insurance provider covers the services, please contact them directly.
The goal of my practice is to provide quality sessions in a timely manner and to best utilize available appointments for all clients. In the event that you need to cancel, you must provide at least 48 hours’ advance notice. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, for any reason (except hazardous winter driving due to storms), will require full payment.
If you absolutely cannot make it in but still want to do the session, we can discuss the option of doing the session at the regular time by phone.
In the event that I must cancel due to illness or weather, I will give you as much notice as possible. You will have the option of rescheduling during that week or, if it is due to weather, doing a session via phone during our regularly scheduled time.
In Case of Emergency
Please be advised that my psychotherapy practice does not provide emergency services. In the event that you require immediate assistance for mental health support please contact the local Mental Health Crisis Line at 705 728 5044. In case of an emergency please dial 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Department of any hospital.
