About Aware Within Psychotherapy
If you are spinning your wheels, caught in a perpetual cycle, wondering where to go next ... reaching out can be the first step towards lasting change. We all need to regroup, reassess, and repair from time to time.
I provide a safe, accepting, and compassionate space, for you to put your thoughts and feelings into words, helping to make what was unconscious, conscious. Enhanced awareness is the first step that helps people get "unstuck."
This journey to wholeness helps to integrate and heal the impact of stress and trauma, shift out of reactivity, strengthen resilience and capacities to cope with the challenges of life, and recover an authentic sense of Self.
What Brings You Here?
Sometimes we can feel a bit broken. Sometimes we may wonder “what is wrong with me?” What often compels people towards therapy is a sense of frustration, feeling lost, disconnection, aloneness, stress, overwhelm, or being stuck. It could be as obvious as unsatisfying relationships or as subtle as the feeling of inadequacy that has followed you throughout life. This can be the result of traumatic events or when life becomes "too much."
Perhaps you would like to feel less needy in your relationships, or be more assertive and respectful to yourself. Dealing with conflict might be stressful. Are you wondering “how did I end up here?” Maybe you would like to change your interactions with family, friends, or work colleagues, learn to forgive or just figure out reasonable boundaries. What would it feel like to know and be the authentic you?
It might be the way you think about and treat yourself that has brought you here. Replaying awkward moments and conversations over and over …
One of the most important relationships we can develop in life, is the one we have with ourselves. But it is often the one we ignore most.
We desire to feel safe, connected, and loved. Yet, it can be surprising how difficult life and relationships can sometimes be. When emotional or relationship problems are present, it can feel destabilizing and bring a sense of disconnection from Self and others.
Working with a therapist can help you navigate through challenges, support personal growth, and expand understanding. It can bring awareness to your Self and your life in a way that allows you to reconnect to and be more deeply aligned with who you are. A qualified Psychotherapist can help be a guide as you move closer to your authentic Self and live the life that feels right for you.
"The time will come when, with elation you will greet yourself arriving at your own door, in your own mirror, and each will smile at the other's welcome."
I want to believe I am looking into the white fire of a great mystery.
